Erasmus+ Studying Abroad
For the summer semester 2027, the Department of British and North American Studies still offers the following remaining Erasmus+ Studying Abroad spots. Please note that in some countries the summer semester already begins in January/February:

Application procedure: Interested applicants should send the following application documents in one PDF file with the name “LASTNAME_ERASMUS_SS27” to the Departmental Exchange Coordinator, Mr. Yunong Li (yunong.li@uni-greifswald.de). Results will be communicated shortly after the deadline.
Application deadline: End of day on 30.06.2026.
Application documents: Finishedapplication form, letter of motivation in English, transcripts of Records at the University of Greifswald, proof of language competence, curriculum vitae, other related documents (e.g. on extracurricular commitments, volunteering, etc.)
International exchange outside Erasmus+
Apart from these Erasmus+ remaining spots, remaining spots for university exchange outside the Erasmus+ program – e.g. at partner universities in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other countries – may also be available for the summer semester 2027. Some of these exchange opportunities are subject to tuition, and some are tuition-free. For consultation, please contact the International Office or Dr. Anette Brauer (brauer@uni-greifswald.de).

Das Erasmus+ -Programm ist eine tolle Chance, durch einen Studien- oder Praktikumsaufenthalt in Europa eine spannende und wertvolle Auslandserfahrung zu machen. Das Programm bietet viele Vorteile:
- Keine Studiengebühren an der Partnerhochschule
- Monatlicher Zuschuss bei Studienaufenthalten und bei Praktika
- Administrative Unterstützung durch die Heimat- und Gasthochschule/Unternehmen
- Anerkennung von Studienleistungen geregelt durch Lernvereinbarungen
- Besondere Unterstützung für Studierende mit mitreisenden Kindern (nur Studienaufenthalt) und Studierende mit Behinderung
- in der Erasmus+ -Studierendencharta festgelegte Rechte und Pflichten
- Mehrfachförderung möglich je Studienabschnitt (Bachelor, Master, PhD) bis zu 12 Monate sowie für Staatsexamen bis zu 24 Monate
Das Institut beteiligt sich aktiv am europäischen Austausch über ERASMUS+ und es finden regelmäßig Informationsveranstaltungen zum Auslandsstudium statt. Bitte achten Sie auf Aushänge im Institut. Auch die regelmäßige "Erstberatung Auslandsstudium" des International Office (Domstraße 8) sollten potentielle Interessierte unbedingt besuchen, um sich frühzeitig über die Details zu informieren.
Das International Office (IO) der Universität Greifswald informiert über Voraussetzungen, Bewerbungsablauf und Stipendienhöhe für ein Studium oder Praktikum in Europa auf den Seiten "ERASMUS+ Studium" und "ERASMUS+ Praktikum" und ist zusammen mit dem Institutskoordinator für ERASMUS zuständig.
Ein Studium über ERASMUS+ ist nur an einer der Partneruniversitäten des Instituts für Anglistik/Amerikanistik möglich. Diese finden Sie im Portal MoveON des International Office. (Auswahl: Austauschprogramm "ERASMUS+ Studium (SMS)" und Fachbereich "Anglistik/Amerikanistik").
