Was ist die GreifFANcon 2025?
Seit den 1930 Jahren treffen sich Enthusiasten und Fans von Pop-Kultur regelmäßig auf Conventions, die inzwischen zu tausenden weltweit und mit unterschiedlichstem Fokus – von Anime über Fantasie zu Science Fiction - organisiert werden.
Als Teil des B.A. Moduls „Applied Studies of English“ haben sich Greifswalder Studierende im Wintersemester 2024/25 mit den vielschichtigen Facetten von Fankulturen und Fanpraktiken bekannt gemacht und werden nun den Fans aus Greifswald und Umgebung für einen ganzen Tag die Möglichkeit geben, sich über ihre Lieblingsserien, Lieblingskünstler*innen und Lieblingsheld*innen zwanglos und erlebnisorientiert in verschiedensten Panels und Workshops auszutauschen.

The student organizers of GreifFANcon 2025 extend their warm welcome to all fans of popular culture. We have planned fascinating panels and hands-on workshops that speak to members of a multitude of fandoms. Why not start your convention day exercising like Goku of Dragon Ball fame, create your own fandom’s version of Swiftie bracelets before you learn about the crimes of Harry Potter and show off your nerdy side during the Fan Trivia Showdown at the end of the day?
Your fandom is missing? Cosplaying may be your chance to make this convention about you, the fans. We would love to hear and see more of your fannish enthusiasm. For a day of reveling in popular culture and forging new friendships, we will put inclusivity and respect at the very heart of GreifFANcon 2025, right here in your neighborhood.
